Among Moscow’s large population of homeless canines, a small minority who frequent or inhabit its metro have attracted international attention due to their having learned how to use the trains to commute to and from various locations.
The dogs have learned to cross the street with pedestrians and have been observed obeying traffic lights.

my dad’s dog when he was a kid did this. the dog, lucky, would ride the streetcar to school with my dad, drop him off, ride the streetcar to the restaurant where they knew him and always gave him treats, and the streetcar drivers all said he’d ride their routes throughout the day until he rode one back to school to pick up my dad to go home. And he was alway there waiting when school let out.

『Spare One』は、その名前のとおり「スペア」になる携帯だ。単三電池1本で稼働し、機能は電話をかけるだけだ。スイッチをオフにした状態であれば、15年間保つ（あるいは、中の電池がバーストして有害な液体をそこら中にまき散らすまでは保つ）。
電話をかける以外にも、もうひとつの機能があった。懐中電灯としても使えるのだ。
これは、いつも携帯電話を持ち歩かない人にとっても、完璧な緊急用電話になるだろう。SIMカードを入れなくても緊急通話が可能なのだ。SIMカードを入れれば通常通話もできる。Energizer社のリチウム電池を使えば、1本で10時間話せる。
GSMネットワークのみで稼働するが、ラジオも聴くことができる（ラジオは住んでいるところに合わせて設定されている）。
